About Certified Digital Security

The authors and contributors to the Certified Digital Security (CDS) levels are experienced security practitioners who provide security consultancy, testing, documenting, auditing and validation activities and services to a wide variety of clients. 

The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) associated with Certified Digital Security is developed and managed by Digital Security Ltd (Company Number:  06894311).

The Company Founder and Managing Director is Steve Armstrong.  A long time exponent of information sharing and de-mystifying, Steve has been the driving force behind the free availability of the CDS Information.  A seasoned security practitioner, Steve has worked in Information Security aspects of HMG and defence sectors as well as the media, music and service sectors.  A Certified Instructor with the SANS Institute (www.SANS.org), Steve strives to use knowledge to empower users and system owners to take their Information Security responsibilities seriously. 

Steve will be teaching:

The Director of Audit Services and Senior Auditor Examiner is Martyn Smith.  Martyn has been working in Security for over 15 years, and since leaving the RAF has supported several of the world's leading music and media organizations develop and implement security procedures and policies to protect their digital assets.
